I am the renter and made a very specific request that I did not want a property that had other residents above or below the one I was renting. One agent stated that “there was no one below you” and when I asked the other agent if there was a firewall in between my unit and the others, he said yes. Now that I’m here, I’ve come to learn that my bedroom is directly over my neighbors living room and that there is no firewall on either side of my property. Both real estate agents are and were aware of this when they told me otherwise. Do I have a legitimate case to end this lease?

We moved into a duplex and one month later my boyfriend became handicapped and has to use a wheelchair. We can’t access the apartment but by the back door with a makeshift ramp and he goes through the neighbors’ yard. He won’t be able to get out this winter because he will sink up in yard when the ground gets wet. Can we get out of our lease since he has become handicapped and can no longer access the house? We live in the state of Kentucky…I say this since all laws vary state to state.
