how can I buy property from my parents without spending much money?

My mother bought 40 acres of land in India. Neighbor wants our land but we are not willing to sell it to him. He has been bothering my parents by creating disputes such as not letting my mother demarcate the property. He is not going to let us sell it to others. He will tell lies to people who would like to buy. Someone waswilling to buy but he did not pay all the amount within 3 months as agreed. Now this neighbor joined with this purchaser to try to get my mothers land for a cheaper price. I think the neighbor is not going to give up on it. Therefore, I am suggesting my mother to sell the property to me in that way the neighbor thinks that he has no hope or he is going to give up since the property is sold to me. He cannot bother my parents any longer . He has been bothering my parents for about 12 years. I (son) shows some supprt to my parents and show some interest in the property since the neighbor thinks that my parents are old .

    GOod Idea. You dont need to “purchase” the property, I think a change of deed, if there is such thing over there will sufice. Basically, your parents will change the title to u. No $$$ involved means u wont have to pay any taxes at purchase, perhaps.

    About the neighbor , ..ever heard of a shotgun?? its this long…….

    have someone to write you a fake land contract,have put on it that you bought the land for X amount of dollars from your parent`s.
