lol…it’s funny how people think of florida…very few hurricanes ever hit in june so that’s a good month to visit…as for your house being blown away most recently built houses will withstand up to a direct cat 2 or 3 hit assuming you aren’t on a beach that has a huge storm surge…I’ve lived here since the 50′s and just in 2004 did I sustain any hurricane damage (Charlie, frances) but it was $40,000 worth, but I had insurance and got a new roof ($24K…my house is kinda big) and new pool resurface and new pool screen enclosure, so in the end it all worked out…I live in Tuscawilla country club in winter springs, you can get a nice house with a nice size yard for around $450k to 650k

June is OK for no hurricanes!
You can get great travel, car hire and accommodation deals at. I’m sure they can point you in the right direction for property as well as they deal with a lot of homeowners who travel all the time.
