Get onto the Local Authority Housing List, contact local Housing Authorities, read the local paper for local landlords willing to accept Housing Benefit.

i checked with some of my local real estate agencies and got some lists of people to rented out houses…. another thing depending on what state your living in, some have a program type thing you can get into and they actually help you pay rent.. ours is call the housing authority.. ask around and see if you have one in your state

yeah make sure if you do get on housing assistance that you ask the renter if they will accept it.. some won’t

Just go to your local council and claim for housing benefit. You can get it paid directly to you so the landlord will never know.
That way you dont have to move house and upset your kids.
    good luck
