i want to rent 2 bedroomed bungalow in the east riding of yorkshire area anyone knows a property to rent disab
we want to rent a 2 bedroomed bungalow east riding area eg skirlaugh surrounding disabled husband so it is very important,can anyone help or you might know someone who has a property that we can rent from long term on benefits, references no problems small deposit please please help or maybe you know a site on the net that can help.

Ring the East riding of yorkshire council first on 01482 393939 or e-mail they have lists of places for rent but visit area 1st there are some very very rough areas there..i know i lived there ..and moved !!

Hi there
I do not know of any letting agencies that specialise in disabled accommodation but I am sure that the vast majority (if not all) would try to help. There are also some other areas of support you should know about that could help you.
Firstly from 2004 there was some new guidelines (may have been legislation) issued where landlords are required to make “reasonable adjustments” to their properties for disabled people. The Department of Works and Pensions are the champions for this – mention this to the local council to prompt them into action if you have any difficulties.
Secondly Shelter provide a lot of housing support and would be a good place to go for specific advice. Check out their site …
