Is this your first apt? Is your credit good, horrible or non existent? Do you have credit established in other aspects, charge card etc?

Your best references would be any landlords that you have dealt with previously. If you have lived in rental properties before and had good contacts with the landlords, they would be your best bet, as it shows you are a good tenant.
Other than that, I would suggest any employers you have worked for that you have a good work record with. They will show you are dependable and employable.
A friend or acquaintance is OK but doesn’t really have as much positive impact and effect as someone you have had positive business dealings of some sort with. Good luck.

Great post! I completely understand your question. Money is hard for a lot of people right now since the enconomy is going down. My friend told me about this website of an organization that gives people up to $1500 towards their rent or mortgage. It’s available in most areas, so I think you should check it out.
Hope this helps!
