If you have lived in rental properties before and had good contacts with the landlords, they would be your best bet, as it shows you are a good tenant. Other than that, I would suggest any employers you have worked for that you have a good work record with. They will show you are dependable and employable. A friend or acquaintance is OK but doesn't really have as much positive impact and effect as someone you have had positive business dealings of some sort with. Good luck.
