do 75 year olds get taxed the same as everyone when they sell property?

grandmother has to sell her home since its too big. will she be taxed for the money she recieves for it just like any ordinary person who sells their home?

    Age isn’t a factor in figuring the capital gains tax due, if any.

    If this house was your Grandmothers Home, she may be able to take a exemption on the capital gains. Check out the IRS pub 17.
