How do you make some extra cash/save money in this troubled economy?

I like to sell my familys old stuff on craigslist and coupon shop. My aunt beads toe ring-anklets and sells them on a online store. My mother lives for thrift stores. My friends do more crafts with there kids and vacation less. Whats your “secret” to a fun home without breaking the bank?
